Course Overview

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to manage and maintain a workplace first aid facility. Topics include:

Conducting a workplace risk assessment
Developing a first aid response plan, including strategies for management of incidents
Using a first aid checklist to service a workplace first aid kit for supplies and equipment
Maintaining first aid equipment and resources
Maintaining the correct documentation required by workplace regulatory authorities
Safe work practices to deal with hazards and risks within the workplace
Legal requirements surrounding first aid
Awareness of the potential need for stress management
Importance of recording and debriefing following a workplace incident
