We employ over 50 full time and casual staff providing community and corporate clients with an improved standard of education in pre-hospital care, sporting and industrial medical support, Work Injury Response Service (WIRS) and Patient transport.

Dr. Peter Mangles

Dr Peter Mangles is the Managing Director of Absolute Medical Response (AMR) and has worked across complex health care and emergency services in Australia, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and South East Asia.
With over 30 years of global managerial and leadership experience, Dr Mangles is a practiced Board Director and Chairman and continues to operate across a diverse range of organisations and enterprises. He has worked extensively in the Ambulance and Patient Transport arena, and Healthcare and Hospital, Disabilities, Aged Care and Higher Education sectors.
Prior to (re) joining AMR in 2016, Dr Mangles was the Managing Director and Regional General Manager Northern Europe – Medical Services. In addition to managing AMR, Dr Mangles also currently sits on the NSQHS Ambulance Committee, the Industry Reference Committees First Aid and the Industry Reference Committees Ambulance and Paramedic.
Dr Mangles is an Adjunct Fellow of Western Sydney University, a Fellow of the Institute Managers and Leaders and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has studied widely with key Universities in Australia and the USA.
Dr Mangles brings a wealth of experience to AMR in formulating and executing strategies that help drive top line growth in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Simon Kemp
Simon Kemp is a partner at Seneca Capital, a mid-market investment firm established in 2016 to partner with Australian businesses to drive long term success. Prior to Seneca Capital, Simon spent more than a decade in management consulting, finance and accounting in Australia and the United States. He was a Director at Alvarez and Marsal in the United States as part of their Turnaround and Restructuring practice and, prior to Alvarez and Marsal, worked at KPMG Australia in their Corporate Finance division. Simon holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Queensland and is a Chartered Accountant.

Will Charlston
Will Charlston is a partner at Seneca Capital, a mid-market investment firm established in 2016 to partner with Australian businesses to drive long term success. Will spent more than a decade with leading global financial and accounting organisations prior to establishing Seneca Capital. He was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs where he would evaluate investment opportunities and, prior to that, in the Audit and Assurance division at KPMG. Will holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Queensland, and is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charterholder.

Joshua Derrington
Josh is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Boutique Fund Manager Alvia Asset Partners.
He is also co-founder an director of Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) the largest operator of Private Emergency facilities in Australia, a director of Pure Environmental a large independent hazardous waste company, a director of Rosella Family Companies (including property, agricultural and education assets) and a director of Absolute Medical Response (AMR).
Josh has extensive experience management space including executive roles at Keystone Private, DNR Capital Macquarie and Goldman Sachs/JBWere.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Economics (Finance) degree, a Master of Applied Finance, Diploma in Financial Services, a Certificate in Value Investing from Columbia University and recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Melbourne Business School.

Dr. Andrew Hill – Medical Advisor
MBBS; FANZCA
Dr Hill is a Specialist Anaesthetist and Retrieval Specialist with over 10 years experience in critical care medicine in both the pre-hospital and hospital setting. Particular interest in emergency surgery, trauma, neurosurgery and obstetric anaesthesia. Dr Hill is the Medical Director for Absolute Medical Response and is a dedicated teacher and facilitator of junior medical officers, students, EMT’s and Paramedics.
Dr Hill is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and has a passion and interest for pre-hospital emergency medicine, the provision of pre-hospital critical care, triage and working in multidisciplinary first responder teams. Dr Hill continues to work as a retrieval consultant with the NSW Ambulance Service rotary winged retrieval services.

Dr Peter Smith – Medical Advisor
MBBS FACEM
Practicing Emergency Physician with over 20 years experience as a Senior Consultant. During that time he has held the positions of Head of Department, Director of Emergency Medicine Training and Regional Disaster Coordinator. He holds positions on Australasian College for Emergency Medicine committees in Ultrasound Credentialing, Fellowship Examination Question writing and Sports Medicine Liaison.
Dr Smith has mentored scores of Emergency Medicine trainees and seen them through to Fellowship, as well as supervising hundreds of Junior Doctors during their Emergency Medicine rotations at both Wollongong and Shellharbour Hospitals. He is current with his College’s requirements for Maintenance of Professional Standards and has a keen interest in Quality Processes and extending the application of Point of Care Ultrasound in clinical practice.
Associate Professor Serena Ayers
MBChB, Medicine; FACEM (Member Medical Advisory Committee)
Director of Emergency Medicine with a strong strategic, collaborative and educational focus. Dr Ayers is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellows of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine. Dr Ayers was the Director of Emergency Medicine at Liverpool Hospital and recently the Director of Emergency medicine at St John of God (Hawkesbury). Liverpool Emergency Department is the busiest ED in NSW and is a Level 6 Trauma receiving unit and the training hub for South Western Sydney Local Heath District and HETI Network.
Dr Ayers is an Associate Professor at Notre Dame University. Dr Ayers has a passion for applying quality improvements in the clinical environment and is devoted to teaching and continuing education and is committed to providing high quality health services and continuity of care to the local community.
Dr. Louise Sweet
MBBS; FANZCA; B Nurs; Grad Dip Mid; Grad Cert Hlth Ed
Dr Sweet is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the Director of Recovery at the Liverpool Hospital. Dr Sweet holds additional Visiting Medical Officer (Consultant) appointments at Bankstown Hospital, Fairfield Hospital and the Sydney South West Private Hospital. In addition to these appointments Dr Sweet is the Co-ordinator of the COVID Intubation Team Liverpool Hospital.
Dr Sweet hold Medical Registration (No.: MED0001189064) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and is the lead Consultant on clinical Simulation Education at Liverpool Hospital and is currently enrolled in Graduate Certificate of Clinical Simulation – Monash University (completed in June 2021).
Dr Sweet is the clinical lead for mass crowd gatherings, major festivals and major events for AMR.
Dr Magdy Attia

Dr Magdy Attia is the principal and founder of the Victoria Tower Medical Centre. He has been working in the Burwood NSW area for the past 30 years and has been teaching medical students for over 10 years. Dr Attia has an interest in minor surgery, obstetrics and occupational health and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Tanya Chesworth – Administration Manager

Tanya Chesworth is a successful Administration and Operations Manager spanning 12 years in a diverse range of companies and sectors including not for profit, professional services (legal), the Australian vocational education system, manufacturing and warehousing, and the electrical industry.
Tanya comes to Absolute Medical Response with extensive experience in office administration, information technology, quality and financial management (including budgeting and corporate financial reporting) and human resources.
Tanya strives for continuous improvement of processes, workflows and systems, and has led major projects including the development and roll out of ISO14001, and the management of ISO9001 programs. She has also managed a number of ICT improvements including software and network upgrades.
Tanya will provide oversight for the day to operations of the Administration Team and ensure that customer services and expectations are maintained at a high standard. Tanya is responsible for the maintenance, review and development of administration and office systems and procedures across the Absolute Medical Response Group.

Mrs. Belinda Crean – Training and Education Manager

Belinda’s love of training began in 1997, whilst responsible initially for the training and development of staff and then later manager at a national hospitality provider. Underlying a love of teaching, Belinda also has a passion for helping people and for many years she worked as a lifeguard, swimming instructor and pool director both in Australia and America.
In 2009, Belinda combined her passions and started a boutique health care training company called CPRHELP. For 6 years Belinda has been lucky enough to spend countless hours teaching students and adults how to respond to a variety of emergencies. In 2012 Belinda decided to develop her pre-hospital training and completed her Cert IV in Health Care (Ambulance). Belinda is currently studying her Masters of Paramedicine. In conjunction with training, Belinda has been working as an Emergency Medical Technician/ Paramedic since 2012, initially with Pink First Aid and now with Absolute Medical Response.
Belinda brings a positive energy to her training sessions, ensuring they are fun and easily understood.
Mr. Philip Symon
CA, B.Com, Grad Dip App Corp Gov
Mr. Philip Symon is an experienced healthcare executive and financial manager who has operated in a number of complex healthcare services in Australia and the United States, including private hospitals (medical/surgical and psychiatric), managed care, the public health and not-for-profit disability sectors.
With over 30 years’ experience in financial management, Mr. Symon is a Chartered Accountant who has led and contributed to the operations and growth of organisations of various sizes and has included initial public offerings in Australia and the United States, mergers and acquisitions, as well as organically growing organisations.

Mr. William (Bill) Williams– Operations Manager

Prior to his appointment as Operations Manager for Paramedical Services, Mr Williams served for 26 years with the Ambulance Service NSW as a Sector Manager (Superintendent) for the Illawarra and Southern Sector. Mr Williams is a Registered Intensive Care Paramedic (AHPRA: PAR0002208032).
He had involvement in regional multi-service agencies roles upon Emergency Management and Emergency Response committees. He has also been involved in response to major incidents as a clinician and Management Representative. He had Management role with Sydney 2000 Olympics (Security), presented and delivered a paper on Response to Major Incident (Thredbo Landslide) to participants of the Queensland Rural Health forum. He has always personally held high expectations on professional and quality service provision of pre-hospital healthcare.
Mr. Williams has been active in training of probationary Officers’ during his early career which then led him into permanent roles as an Instructor Clinical and Non-Clinical. Mr Williams served as a Senior Rescue Instructor for SRESB, instructor for Senior First Aid and Defibrillation (CPR) skills attainment for members of the public and medical/nursing personnel.
