About the Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course

The “Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy” (HLTAID015) course equips students with the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical assistance. It is relevant to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex settings and situations.

 

This is a challenging and stimulating course which extends upon the “Provide First Aid” course skills and competencies. The “Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy” is an ideal course for Lifesavers, Life Guards, First Responders, Rescue Divers, Dive Masters, outdoor recreation workers and onsite First Aid personnel involved in rescue or fire protection.

The Absolute Medical Response “Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy” (HLTAID015) course is a nationally recognised and accredited module. Upon completion, students will possess the skills and knowledge to provide advanced first aid at the scene of an accident or illness. Topics covered include the provision of basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)  use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED), anatomy and physiology, the use of supplementary oxygen, airway management (including the use of oropharyngeal airway), bag-valve-mask (BVM) resuscitation and the maintenance of resuscitation equipment.

Absolute Medical Response have a highly-credentialed and qualified team of Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses and Intensive Care Paramedics who provide an interactive and clinical understanding of the requirements of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.

There are no entry requirements for this course. You can enrol at the Absolute Medical Response training institute at any time.

Course duration

The Absolute Medical Response “Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy” (HLTAID015) course is conducted face-to-face over 8 hours, which includes theory and practical sessions. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency for Advanced Resuscitation is every 12 months.
