About the Provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation course

The Absolute Medical Response Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009)

Absolute Medical Response have a highly credentialed and qualified team of Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics and Intensive Care Paramedics who provide an interactive and practical understanding of the requirements of a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.

There are no entry requirements for this course, you can enroll at the Absolute Medical Response School at any time.

Course duration

Option 1: The Absolute Medical Response Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) course is conducted face-to-face over 4 hours which includes didactic and practical sessions. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation is every 12 months.

Option 2: The Absolute Medical Response Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) course is conducted with an online video lecture, followed by face-to-face over 2 hours which includes a practical session. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation is every 12 months.
